Faux Limestone Bas Relief in Art Deco Style

Miami Beach is famed for its wealth of flamboyant Art Deco style hotel architecture, so when a developer renovated an old hotel, it was natural to want to add a strong touch of classic Deco detail to the lobby, even though it was not original to that particular room.  The architect wanted to create a pair of dramatic Deco panels flanking the checkin area.  She gave us the specifications and the budget and said, can you do it?  We affirmed that we could, as long as we didn't have to do it in real limestone, but rather something that looked exactly like it!  Working from an informal sketch from the architect, the panels were created as a single unit, and then cut apart for shipping and installation.  The project was delivered to specifications, on budget and ahead of schedule.
