REPRODUCTION OF HISTORIC STONE ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS IN FAUX STONE

A. Thayer Smith III are experts in the reproduction of existing historic stone finishes in plaster based materials for interior applications.  The intent is to replicate existing finishes faithfully in order to credibly recreate the appearance of true stone.  A natural stone appearance can be achieved with a variety of different  materials, including concrete, gypsum and plaster. Finishes are unlimited, ranging from a polished marble finish to veined travertine, to historic limestone, worn and stained by the elements.

At right is the interior of the 5 star Philadelphia restaurant, Lebec Fin, for which we furnished not just the ornamental plaster (from ceiling to floor), but also the faux marble stone fireplace mantel and surround.  The look and the material you have in mind can be created in faux stone.
